This Privacy Policy explains how Charos S.r.l. ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal data when you use the TeamUp Esports mobile app and website (the "Service").

1. Data controller

2. Data we collect

• Account data: email address, display name and profile picture provided when you sign in (including via Google Sign-In).
• Profile and activity data: information you add to your profile, teams you create or join, and tournaments you register for.
• Technical data: basic device and log information (e.g. app version, IP address, error logs) needed to operate and secure the Service.

We do not use advertising trackers and we do not sell your personal data.

3. How we use your data

• To create and manage your account and authenticate you.
• To provide core features: finding tournaments, teams and other players.
• To keep the Service secure, prevent abuse and fix bugs.
• To reply to your support requests.

4. Legal basis

We process data to perform our contract with you (providing the Service), on our legitimate interest (security and improvement of the Service), and to comply with legal obligations, in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

5. Service providers

We rely on trusted providers that process data on our behalf, including Google Firebase (authentication) and Google Cloud (hosting, EU region). These providers are bound by data processing agreements. Some data may be transferred outside the EU under appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. Public information

Your display name, profile picture and team memberships may be visible to other users of the Service.

7. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When your account is deleted, we delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, unless we are required to keep it by law.

8. Account deletion

You can request the deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing charossrl@gmail.com from the address linked to your account, with the subject "Account deletion request", or via our account deletion page.

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your data, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).

10. Children

The Service is not intended for children under 14. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in the app or on this page.
